Shisapangma Expedition
Manaslu is the eight highest mountain in this world at a height of 8,163m. It is the first snowy mountain in the world. It is located in the Mansiri Himal range at north side of Gorkha district along Kali Gandaki river. In Sanskrit language, Manaslu means " Mountain of the spirit" i.e. Spiritual values so local were not allowed to climb Manaslu in the past because of the god.

The main our caravan route takes off at Samagaon and Sama Gompa, where incidentally Manaslu is called Kambung - after a local God. It was here in this selfsame village back in 1954 that the second Japanese expedition met with bitter resistance from the locals. They blamed the presence of the heathen foreigners for the avalanches and pestilence on the valley. They felt that Japanese had insulted the Gods dwelling in the mountains thereby angering them into creating such adverse conditions. Nowadays the climbers attracted to climb this beautiful mountain and from summit you can see many mountains of Annapurna and Ganesh Himal range as well as Tibetan dry land.
