Mount Api Trek

Mount API Trekking.

Starts in the Far western part of Nepal. Which is very remote area and Virgin Nature and off beaten path, Mysterious culture panoramic mountain's view, which are Nandadevi, Rajramba, Api Himal, KappaChuli Peak and many more. There is one lake called kalidhunga. It takes about 2 hrs by walking from base camp. This is one of the holy lakes of this area. Most of the Hindu people go over there. People of this area are mostly depends on farming. They grow maize, rice, wheat etc. Most of the time you will have different types of Landscapes, which are very beautiful. One of the very interesting things is that in this trek you will see nomads and many shelters.

People lived in this area are mostly Bohara, Thekare, Jhakari, Mahara, Lohar and many more. They have totally differents culture, language. There is not any hospital in this area. If people got serous problem then they have to go to India for treatment. They have only small health post.

    Starting from: Gakuleshwor (33 hours bus ride from Kathmandu)
    Ending at: Gakuleshwor (33 hours bus ride to Kathmandu)

    Highest access of the trek : Kalidhunga lake 4200 meters
    Average Temperature: -5 to 15 Celsius
    Culture : Chettries, mahara, bohara Jhkari, Lohar
    Mode of the trekking : Camping trek only
    Himalayan sights: Himalayan ranges of Nanda Devi (6559m), Rajrmba (6537m), Api Himal (7132m) KapChuli (6825m) etc.
    Most attraction of the trek: Off touristy route and authentic Nepalese life style

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathamndu airport and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Kathamndu to Mahendranagar drive by bus about 18 hrs
Day 03: Mahendranagar to Gokuleshwor drive by bus about 15 hrs
Day 04: Gokuleshwor to Karkale walk about 2 hrs (900m)
Day 05: Karkale trek to Chiureni about 6-7hrs (1100M)
Day 06: Chiureni trek to Makarighat about 6-7hrs (1800M)
Day 07: Makarighat trek to Seti about 6-7hrs (2800M)
Day 08: Seti trek to Lawathi about 4hrs (3000M)
Day 09: Lawathi Trek to Simar about 5-6hrs (3300M)
Day 10: Simar trek to Dhawaliwadar about 4-5hrs (3800M)
Day 11: Dhawalidwar trek to Base Camp about 2hrs (4000M)
Day 12: Base Camp trek to Saheb Bagar about 6hrs (2800M)
Day 13: Saheb Bagar trek to Makarighat about 6-7hrs (1800M)
Day 14: Makarighat trek to Bitule about 5hrs (1200M)
Day 15: Bitule trek to Gokuleshwor about 5-6 hrs (850M)
Day 16: Gokuleshwor to Mahendranagar drive by bus about 15 hrs
Day 17: Mahendranagar to Kathmandu drive by bus about 18 hrs
Day 18: Arriving in Kathmandu early morning.

Day 19: Departure for your onward destination.
